This movie does surprise me,
when I thought it might be kind of end of world, or something like this,
but it's far beyond and much more than that...
The story is full of skepticism and humanity conflicts:
fake news, blogger influences, chaos control, politics and emergency,
relationship among the governments and the World Health Organization,
CDC policies, vaccination profits, US role in global health.
And, the coolest are:
the close tie between international travel and communicable disease,
and between the freedom of movement, the right to life and to health
in terms of public health...
this one is just like what I seek to sketch in my research!!!
On the other hand, I really love the cast and the complication of such a story!!!
They have Matt Damon, Laurence Fishburne, Gwyneth Paltrow and Marion Cotillard.
They all did a great job, particularly Jude Law and Kate Winslet,
they did blow me away...acting so inner and humane!!!
Shot in so many spots around the world,
scenes were taken in different locations from various views of big cities,
in order to express such an idea of 'communication' in an era of globalization,
and convey a picture with cultural shocks but common and universal care.
Further, the way the director tells the story is also interesting.
By putting on day-by-day records, it makes the film as a documentary,
and few people keep a same diary altogether for a period of history
which seem to be real and vivid, although it's just a movie now.
Anyway, I highly recommend *CONTAGION*,
if anyone is interested in these controversial issues,
or even simply superstitious about super stars,
you won't regret watching it. It's worthy!
