Me:

Hi everyone! My name is Po-Han Lee; you can also call me Peter. I was born in Bangkok. People say I’m very funny. I’ve been doing my PhD study in the past five years, and recently I just successfully passed my viva voce (hurrah!). Originally trained – and also starting my PhD – in Law, I turned my research focus to Sociology before finalising my thesis (finally!). I have a very broad range of academic interests, including the sociologies of nothing and ignorance, and the queer/feminist and postcolonial/decolonial approaches to international studies. Normally I am a ‘yes man’, still learning how to say no. LOL

Why NATSA?

OK – to be completely honest with you, I never considered participating in the NATSA although, of course, I had heard and known about it. That is because my own research was not very Taiwan-focused. But, life is full of surprise, as you know it. One day I got an invitation from Rita, and I said ‘yes’ eventually, as what a Yes Man would do. And I have to say, till today, I haven’t regretted any of that decision.

Fun Fact:

Normally I seem a bit shy, but people who know me would know how fun I can be. Not particularly into drinking, I’d like to have a pint just for the pleasure of feeling tipsy. I’m also the chief editor of Plain Law Movement – welcome to write with us! HAHAHA!!!
