Seamen live on troubled waters,
depend on capricious weathers,
all life long seeking for freedoms;

Mermaids born to be free though,
but most of time so being alone,
all their lives in need of liberation.

Seamen always work hard,
enjoy traveling,
and voyage around the world.

Mermaids cannot swim ashore,
cannot step on board,
and when migrating often get lost .

One day a ship got grounded,
a seaman encountered a mermaid,
on the great Atlantic;

It was a starry starry night,
next to the boat, by the moonlit side,
reflecting their faces,
with unprecedented smiles.

Falling in love with each other,
everything came so in a sudden;
shine or rain, days and nights,
what they do were all about love.

From the first sight,
mermaid knew the truth is that,
he had to leave no matter on what day,
but she still tried to hide the lasting fears.

At the first kiss,
seaman could not help but decided,
he wanted to stay till the end of earth,
but the fate did not treat him as he likes.

The seaman was asked to start traveling,
by nature, on duty, for responsibility;
he would not forget her beauty,
her extraordinary meaning for him.

The mermaid was asking for solutions,
by wish, on fire, for anxiousness;
she could sacrifice all for his returns,
his drifting existence changing her.

It should be a romance originally,
but it became dramatic eventually;
the stories have never been ended,

Seamen behave still as before,
they remember everything in detail,
but prefer keeping it secretly.

Mermaids are now so different,
they become very sensitive to strangers,
due to hardships and memories.

To be a seaman, to be a mermaid?
it is not up to you but doomed.
to be too tough too hurt,
or to be too fragile to be hurt.
